Subject: #2463: Mercury tilt-trim fluid level
Submitted by Nitro9 (207.136.9.158) from TEXAS on 8/03/04 9:01:14 pm:
I have a 150 Mercury. It is a couple of years old. I never checked the power Trim-Tilt fluid level. I decided to look at it. On page 71 in the manual it said raise the motor to full up position and engage tilt lever. Unscrew the cap and see that the fluid level was at the bottom of the fill hole.
When I unscrewed the cap, about 2 or 3 ounces of fluid ran out before I got the plug back I the hole!
What’s the deal?
