researching how this boat runs.. have heard of some 2003's with a high speed porpoise ( know the reason) ..have spent many hours on mine with some pretty good results.. well experienced marine tech at a bass boat dealer with strong procraft/merc background.. LIKE THE BOAT!--this is my 2nd procraft ( also have a 1996 185 with a 150 efi that runs well)..we have a 2004 at the shop with a 250 xs opti.. my 2003 is for sale ( going to a 250 xs in search of low 80's ) have some numbers for yall..these are real world at the lake trying setups /props numbers and so far here's ethier where the customer stopped or where its at now..you may or may not get these kinds of numbers.. keep in mind each boat and motor is its own beast..

boat 1: 2002 210/ 250 XB..FULL LOAD 77 MPH GPS.. YEAR ROUND..THIS ONE TURNED OUT GOOD ...( 26 TROPHY..REALLY LIFTS ..JACKPLATE HEIGHT VERY MODERATE..good strong engine.. rpm's stay about 5800 all the time.. ) one evening at the lake and justin said "fast enough" ..has fleet master gearcase on it so height is real limited ..

BOAT 2: 2001 210/ 225 STOCK ..MED LOAD .. MODERATE CHOP-AIR TEMP IN THE 60'S ..69 GPS..25 TEMPEST ( NEW PROP) ..DRIVES OK..JACKPLATE STOCK( ALL THE WAY DOWN..THESE NUMBERS AFTER GOOD TUNE UP AND FRESH CYLINDER HEAD ORINGS) ..dual inlet 3.0l gearcase..wayne says as of this week still runs good..he didn't relly want to tweak it that much ..

BOAT 3 ( this one is mine and it is a work in progress..) 2003 210/225 ..STILL DIALING IN..CHANGING JACK PLATE OUT ..NOW WITH 10" BACK ..INSTALLING A 12' BACK THIS WEEK ....AGGRESSIVE HEIGHT..TROPHY 26..LOAD ..FULL GAS TANK, LIVEWELL FULL..4 BATTS ..500 LBS GEAR .. SUMMER SPEEDS 67-71 GPS ( DEPENDS ON WATER CONDIITONS..LOW NUMBERS CALM/FLAT ..HIGH WITH MODERATE CHOP) @ 5200- 5700 RPM.. WINTER SPEEDS 68-72MPH ON GPS @5600- 6000 RPMS ( YEAH I KNOW TOO MUCH SMARTCRAFT LETS ME KNOW!) ..GOING TO A 27 TROPHY FOR THIS WINTER ..note: do service this motor on a three month schedule ( gear oil/impeller/decarbon/plugs/ scan ecm/ verify adjustments/check compression..and is still under warranty so i haven't been overly agressive with it..been keeping water pressure at or above merc spec ( 18 psi min at wot) ..
